Langtang Valley Trek

The trek begins with an early morning drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Langtang Valley. The journey takes about 6 to 7 hours, winding through scenic hills, terraced fields, and small rural settlements. Upon arrival, you’ll settle into a local teahouse and prepare for the trek ahead.

Starting the trek, you ascend steadily through dense bamboo and rhododendron forests, immersing yourself in the region’s natural beauty. Along the way, you pass through small villages such as Bamboo and Rimche. The day ends in Sherpa Gaon, a picturesque mountain village offering stunning views of surrounding peaks and a glimpse into local life.

The trail continues to climb through thick forests, crossing clear streams and suspension bridges. You reach Langtang Village, which has been carefully rebuilt after the 2015 earthquake. This vibrant settlement provides a rich cultural experience, allowing you to interact with the Tamang community while enjoying panoramic mountain views. Overnight accommodations are in local teahouses.

Today’s shorter trek helps with acclimatization as you ascend through yak pastures and cross the Langtang Khola river. You arrive at Kyanjin Gumba, home to a notable Buddhist monastery and surrounded by magnificent Himalayan peaks. The peaceful atmosphere here is ideal for rest and exploration.

Use this day to acclimate further with an optional hike. Kyanjin Ri offers spectacular close-up views of Langtang Lirung and other towering summits. For a more challenging ascent, Tsergo Ri provides panoramic vistas across the valley and beyond. After the hike, return to Kyanjin Gumba for overnight rest.

Begin your descent through the valley, retracing your steps past Langtang Village and continuing to Lama Hotel. The trail gradually drops through forests and riverside paths, offering a different perspective of the landscape. Overnight stay is at Lama Hotel, a small village with basic amenities.

Continue descending through lush forests and traditional villages. The trail passes peaceful settlements before reaching Thulo Syabrubesi, a larger village with more facilities and teahouses, where you’ll spend the night and prepare for the final day.

After completing your trek, you'll drive back to Kathmandu through scenic countryside roads. When you're ready for your international flight, a representative from Kinga Lama Trek Nepal will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for your final departure.
